Sneha and her team are young, dynamic, and very capable architects whose passion for cool, contemporary/traditional and practical design oozes out in every meeting and design solution they offered me as their client. In 2012, Sneha was recommended to me by my brother Dr Sam Philip who himself knew her expertise in a few other projects. As our project was a house in the picturesque mountainous landscape, we found Sneha was the perfect Architect for the job.

I and my wife Sony always found Sneha was always welcoming and cheerful with all the comments and changes we have made. I remember sometimes the meetings were endless; stretching continuously beyond a day and Sneha was up to the challenge. Sneha was available 24/7 for all the requirements; she supported us just like an immediate family member. Her presence was a huge relief for us since we were based in the Middle East. She made n number of site visits even though the site was 135 km far from her office. The construction was planned, designed, constructed, managed, and handed over to us in the most precious way which can be remembered and cherished all our lifetime.

The trust she has created among us is beyond words. We can proudly say that we have received a ‘’Dream Home” which was exceeding our expectations. We wish all the Good Luck for Sneha and Her team in all their projects, God Bless.

Sneha greeted us with a warm smile ( believe me there were times when I was looking for that smile alone as we get stressed about this process ) which was always positive, always problem solving and we could always see the light at the end of the tunnel in her. She gave a patient ear to all our needs stood by our wishes wherever possible and gently told us the problems of many of our thoughts also and successfully evaded us from many foolish decisions.

Many things about the day-to-day working of a house that a lady can only think of (the feminist in me says so) were thought of meticulously during the entire project. She was helpful not just as the architect but as a guide in every stage right from getting the approval to jolting on the final plan to editing it multiple times and even took an extra effort on executing it within the time frame. The garden by itself had a 5-page plan! Well, On the heavier note the firm was thoroughly professional and extremely prompt. Every decision was clear and double-checked before executing. The plans were always well in advance and they made us think before each stage, educated us, and prepared us with all the details available about the feasible things in each area.

The long term maintenance of a home and the ease of handling every space were dealt with carefully. The firm is also equipped with excellent staff who were pleasing by nature and extremely helpful and they also chose for us a lot of dependable people to do the minute details of the house and none of them disappointed us. Let me say that some people walk through your life with a purpose with so much grace, that they make lasting impressions and each day u think of them you end up being a little more thankful to them than the day before. We were ready, and we needed a place of our own. At that pinnacle of ignorant bliss, we had scarcely more of a concrete idea than that. And boy didn’t each of us have very different fuzzy dreams!! Fortunately talking to each other made us realize that if we had to do this, we needed someone with the smarts in our team. The mandatory screening of architecture and home magazines gave us a very intimidating view of the superstar architects and their products.  We needed someone who would listen to us, be firm against our unpractical ideas and be flexible with our not unpractical ones and someone we could relate to in our tastes and needs and also someone with whom we could openly discuss what could be potentially very dumb thoughts. Needless to say, it had to be someone with a good track record and also a very professional approach. It was while on this lookout that we heard of Sneha from many quarters- from our colleagues, friends, and relatives.

Of the many good things that we heard (and we did hear a lot), the one thing that stuck to both of us was that you can really talk to her. That decided it for us and we are so lucky that we decided to meet her. The first meeting must have been a nightmare to her with both of us having very fixed ideas of how it should look and function but with absolutely no idea of the processes involved or their costs or even what our budget could be.! But very much like how we doctors take relevant pieces from the vast amount of information from patients and arrive at a provisional diagnosis, by the end of the session Sneha surprised us with her summary of what she understood about what we desired and roughly what would that involve. We felt heard and understood and from then there was no turning back. Probably most people have some awareness of what all are involved in the process of building a house. But if you are like us, be warned that it involved a surprising number of processes, people with very different expertise and opinions, innumerable choices of materials and lots and lots of money. Not to mention the innumerable, conflicting, and often unsolicited advisers.

Sneha and her team mentored and partnered with us throughout that journey, coordinating with workers, consultants, suppliers, etc, and also supervised the different stages of the evolution of a barren plot to our home. That evolution spanned about 4years (2 of them just in conceptualization-forgive us Sneha) and in that span, we had twin babies, demonetization, floods, and COVID lockdown!  We kept revising and sometimes completely changing our views. There was always however the faith that Sneha would keep us coherent and help us see this through. And that is precisely what she has done very successfully and more importantly, always with a smile. We are absolute novices in this field and we have no frame of reference to compare. But we love what Sneha and team have done and we are happy that the journey was smooth and we are truly excited that at its end we have a very good person, a jovial architect, who we proudly call our friend.

Sneha and her team treated my project as their own project and put a lot of effort into managing it end-to-end including negotiations with suppliers and contractors. This was a great blessing for me as I was managing this project most of the time remotely from Singapore.  Sneha also discharged her arbitrator and influencing skills for us whenever there were disagreements with contractors and suppliers from time to time.
 Most importantly, Sneha positioned herself as one of our family members. This really helped her to create inroads into my parents and helped them to understand the Why’s and How’s on my behalf.
